"Mr. Vida leading with his elegant display of masterful piano playing. The compositions are progressive and lovely; melodic to a degree even pop fans can appreciate and always breaking away to show the bands’ skills."

about

"Próxima Estação" is primarily an album of music for the trio of piano, doublebass and drums and features a guest appearance by Selma Uamusse for the song "Estaciones". This music reflects some of the issues of contemporary jazz, particularly with regard to form and permeability to other languages: bebop, flamenco and drum'n'bass are some of the materials that merge in creating this universe of sound.
Recorded at OndaJazz in Lisbon on "live takes" and no "overdubs", on the 16th and 17th of June, 2013.
